To me, being organized, clean and efficient are big priorities.
This hasn’t been something that I have been able to do quite like I once did when it comes to my home.
Working full time and being a mom to two children puts a damper on the amount of cleaning I can get done. My office has a commercial cleaning service that comes in every night to perform janitorial services. They empty the trash and do the carpet cleaning. I could only dream of having that in my own house. Being a single mom does not afford me a ton of time. Now that the girls are getting older, I realized that I just couldn’t be my own cleaning lady anymore. The idea of contracting a maid service felt a bit extravagant at first. I almost felt a bit ashamed that I wasn’t taking complete care of the carpet cleaning and all that other stuff. However, I just kept falling further and further behind when it came to getting my house cleaned. Trying to do floor maintenance after work was a non starter. And the weekends were too full being a mom taxi for me to be the carpet cleaner among other things. That’s why getting a maid service was just something that I had to get done. Fortunately, I found a maid for hire who came highly recommended. She was great and even brought her own cleaning products. Now, what little free time I have can be spent with the girls or maybe even relaxing with a glass of wine.
