Our business just sort of happened.
I know that sounds absurd but, it’s the truth.
I don’t think the four of us ever thought we’d be doing stuff like hiring a staff and interviewing commercial cleaning companies. We got together at first because we all shared the same interest in coins. It was a great way for us to learn about the value and investment that coin collecting could provide. Before long, we were people that other coin dealers sought out. This led us to actually opening a store. However, we were totally unprepared for what that meant. First, we got the store put together and all our displays in the right place. We figured we would just clean up after ourselves each night. Well, that did not go well at all. We were so busy with customers and prospective clients that we were the worst cleaning ladies that had ever lived. It finally came to a head one day when a customer walked in, took one look around and walked out. This caused us to take pause and reexamine our office cleaning idea. It was pretty apparent that we could not act like professionals if we didn’t look like professionals. So we started interviewing janitorial companies to come in and do the office cleaning. The first few commercial cleaning companies we interviewed were not the right fit. They wanted too much money for stuff like tile floor cleaning service and grout floor cleaning service. This was not something we really needed. Fortunately, we found a small office cleaning crew who were able to meet our needs.
