There are a lot of firsts happening in my life right now.
After years of dreaming turned to planning, opening my own business is now a reality. This came together for me at just the right time. However, with all the planning and strategy, I left something very important out of my thinking. I needed a janitorial service or a cleaning company to take care of my new office. Somehow that slipped my mind and I opened the office without a commercial cleaning service. At first, I decided that I would just take care of floor maintenance and other office cleaning on my own. Once I had a small staff, we divided up the office cleaning. However, I could tell that those who came to work for me were not thrilled with the idea. I can understand that. Who wants to deal with an intense work day and then essentially provide a maid service? I’m guessing basically no one. So, I took all of the office cleaning onto my shoulders. But, this just didn’t work either because I was in the office far too long. That’s when I started interviewing for a commercial cleaning service. I found one who did floor stripping and waxing along with other janitorial services. This was so much more essential to opening my business than I ever realized. With a cleaning company coming in every night, I cut so much time out of my week. No longer am I locking up the door at 8pm after being a maid service. Plus, the commercial cleaning service provides all of their own cleaning products.
