Getting your a/c checked up is so important, yet it is commonly forgotten about until either a really brutal summer or winter rolls around, and then it breaks and people rush on over to get a HVAC technician to come out and fix their heating and cooling system.
Now I am in no way criticizing people, because I did the exact same thing myself.
I didn’t do anything for my heater of A/C unit until it ended up breaking over the summer. Seriously, I think the last thing I did with my A/C system was getting the a/c vents cleaned and even that was just because it was causing me problems. Anyways, unluckily for me, the air conditioning broke down when it was close to 100 degrees outside. Needless to say, I was boiling alive inside and outside my house, and it was literally preventing me from doing anything. I was so hot, the only thing I could do was lay around and wait for night to fall. Out of desperation, I started filling a water bottle full of cold water and pouring the water on me to stay cool. Even after taking a shower, only 20 minutes later I was right back to being overheated. Thankfully for me, I was really lucky in the aspect that I live in a rural area and the HVAC business is not very busy often, so I was able to get the HVAC tech out the same day to fix my broken A/C device. I am so glad that the HVAC repairman did, because I can’t imagine going without air conditioning. I feel sorry for city people who have the same issue, because they probably have to wait awhile to get their heating and cooling unit fixed.
