I am very fortunate to be living in the area where I am.

I have the air conditioning running during the summer, but it isn’t really necessary. The temperatures seldom get above eighty-five and the humidity is fairly low. I could go without AC if I really wanted to, but I choose not to. Our winters are also fairly mild. I only remember a few times when the temps were low enough to warrant having any heat during the day. It gets chilly at night, but it feels really good when you snuggled under the blankets. If it does get too cold, I simply turn on the small electric space heater that I have, and it keeps the bedroom warm and cozy. I tried out several different space heaters before I decided on this one. It has a lot of safety features that made me feel really safe. There is a no-tip feature so that if I were to trip over it at night, it shuts off. It will shut down if the temperature gets too high, and it doesn’t use fuel. That was the deciding factor for me. I liked that the space heater had a thermostat so I could set an actual temperature and not a high, medium, low setting. A friend of mine thought I should just purchase a furnace for my house, but I thought it was silly. A furnace is really expensive to purchase and install. I didn’t think a week of needing heat warranted a furnace. Besides, I really like the space heater and how inexpensive it is to run.
