Larger homes can cut cost with zone control HVAC

Our lake house is an older lake house and it was built fairly big.

However, the lake house is divided into a lot of smaller rooms.

Many of the room are not used at all by any of us. When the two of us first got into this house, the two of us had one central thermostat that tried to control the temperature of the entire house. This caused the most outrageous energy bills. There region the two of us are in is a section of the country where the climate can be serious and be sort of all over the site. It isn’t unproper for a particularly overheated and humid day to be followed with a precipitous plunge in temperature a few days later. All of us are forced to be the HVAC oil furnace or air conditioner from one day to the next while I was in the shoulder seasons. Various rooms in our lake house lend themselves to heat up due to the immense windows that gobble up direct sunlight. To cool these areas of the home, the central HVAC setting was far too low. And, the HVAC would just run and run in an effort to keep up with a section of the lake house that wasn’t used all that much. The Wintertide was the opposite and the oil furnace just had too much lake house to heat. That’s why I now have zone control HVAC. The HVAC crew augmented our existing heating & cooling device so there are now 6 independent HVAC zones in the house. Now, I am saving a ton of cash because I can heat and cool selective parts of our home. I am so thankful to have finally found a solution to this expensive problem.
