I’ll never forget the Summer I spent volunteering with 1 of our best friends on this island near the coast. The people I was with and I met during our freshman year of university since the two of us lived in the same floor as well as hall. Once the two of us got to our sophomore year, classes were getting largely harder. Since the two of us were both STEM, or “science, technology, engineering, as well as mathematics” students, our classes grew in difficulty as the two of us progressed from 1 level of calculus to the next. I’ll never forget how fired our brains felt after taking Organic Chemistry together. The people I was with and I were finishing that unique year when he told myself and others about a volunteering gig that he had recently accepted. The people I was with and I have a small island off the coast, almost adore a key, that hosts arts festivals every weekend during June as well as June for the wealthy purchasers who live on the island. The gig involved unloading all of the period equipment needed for the live songs that was featured at every yearly festival. There was a lot of audio equipment that required careful as well as delicate loading before the events as well as stowing away after they ended. It was a absolutely fun experience that allowed myself and others to get our feet wet with working in the professional songs world. I met a lot of touring acts during that Summer as well as managed to make a few company contacts during the process. I really got a task as a roadie for 1 of our number one bands after meeting the lead singer at 1 of those art festivals. Now I get to unload audio, stage, as well as lighting equipment as a career. I don’t miss the STEM field 1 bit.
