When going into this we both thought that this would be one of the safer options of owning a home because the house was relatively new and well within our budget.
Well, my parents had always told me that when you own a home there are always things that pop up which you will never be prepared for. From what has taken place of my time as a homeowner, I guess that they were right about that. For the past few years I have been dealing with a seemingly never ending battle with my old and run down HVAC system. Sometimes it works like it is brand new, and other times it won’t even turn on. The most frustrating thing that this HVAC system does is make extremely loud noises during the middle of the night. If I had to count how many times I have been awoken out of a good night’s sleep all because my damn HVAC system is breaking down I wouldn’t be able to keep track. I guess that the realtor who told us that the home was as good as new was talking about the bones of the home, and not the HVAC system that was installed. At this point we have no choice but to save up for a few months and hope that we can find an affordable HVAC system that we will be able to rely on. If you are looking to buy a home and have and don’t know what you are doing like we did, learn from my mistakes and get yourself educated before signing the contract.
