I later learned that you can’t really task that well if you’re in a freezing chilly office environment.
This was the story of my life for a long time when the office that I was clearly working in had something called icebox syndrome, however all of the other people that I was absolutely working with thought that the office temperature felt perfectly fine.
The main control unit for the building was usually set at 74 degrees, which seems to be an adequate temperature setting for the weather conditions that we were currently living in! However, in my office, which was in one of the corners of the building, the a/c seemed to run consistently plus I was always cold as heck. Even in the middle of the summer, I would have to run a tiny area heating system underneath my desk to keep my hands plus feet from turning into ice cubes! I finally had the building manager call our commercial Heating and Air Conditioning corporation. The Heating plus Air Conditioning professional who explained icebox syndrome to myself and others said that it’s when one area or room of a home or building stays freezing chilly all hours of the day when all of the other rooms feel just fine. The Heating plus Air Conditioning professional, once he had maintained my office plus checked the temperature in all of the different offices in the building, assured myself and others that the Heating and Air Conditioning plan in my office was indeed suffering from icebox syndrome; I giggled and then told him that not only was the Heating plus Air Conditioning plan suffering, although I was suffering from it too! He was able to find the source of the concern in one of the ventilation ducts plus he fixed it immediately.
