My mom became a huge natural path follower shortly after we all moved out of the house.
Everything for her is organic and she’s constantly raving about different sorts of teas and their health benefits.
Honestly, I take most of what she says with a grain of salt. However, when menopause hit, I was complaining a lot to my mom about the hot flashes and mood swings. She suggested that I try red clover tea. Apparently it’s made from the flowers of the red clover plant. I ignored my mom’s suggestion, just like I ignore most of her suggestions with regards to her organic teas. However, when my doctor also suggested that I might get some relief from trying red clover tea, I listened. When I got home I called my mom back up and asked her about the red clover tea and she was very happy to help me out. She told me where I could buy the tea, how to prepare it and even the other tea leaves I can mix it with to improve the flavor, should I wish to do this. The following Wednesday, I went and bought some organic red clover tea. I prepared it as soon as I got home. I’m not a huge fan of the flavor but I am happy that I can mix it with a little bit of peppermint tea. I have yet to see if it helped with my menopause symptoms though. I understand you need to take it for a few days before the benefits really kick in. I really hope it helps. I also won’t discount my mom next time she recommends a tea for a real problem I’m having. She might be onto something with her organic tea mixes.
