I used to think that life was hard before I had my first child, but then I quickly learned that I had it easy back then.
One of the many things that I was never told before having my first child was that they are almost never easy to please.
Sometimes they are hungry, sometimes they are tired, but sometimes they just want to have something to cry and complain about. I guess you could say the same things for a lot of adults out there, but that’s another story. Anyways, now that my child is of age where she is running around like crazy and getting her hands on things she has started to find a strange obsession with the air conditioning unit. Whenever the chance arises she will pull a chair over to the thermostat to crank the temperature down to as low as it can possibly go. Thanks to this obsession of hers she has started to prefer to have the air conditioning set at a nice and brisk 68 degrees. Whenever I try to change it back to a normal setting so my partner and I aren’t freezing to death there is always a huge problem that ends in my daughter crying and fighting with all of her might to get back to the thermostat. I don’t have much confidence, but I sure hope that she gets over this air conditioning obsession soon. If not, everyone in the home except my four year old will be forced to wear parkas and gloves in the house just to stay warm.
