For the past few years I have been doing my best to become more environmentally friendly.
With terrible things happening all around the world like climate change and animals losing the majority of their natural habitat it is easy to just feel helpless, so in order to try and combat this I decided that I can make changes in my daily life at the very least.
I have started to eat a mostly plant based diet, I switched to an electric car for my hour long commute to work each day. Now that I have made these steps and have had pretty great success I have decided to make another change in order to become more envirnmentally friendly, and that was making the change to radiant flooring as my heating source. According to several blogs that I have read online, radiant floors use much less energy and are able to last a much longer period of time. Along with being a longer lasting and more reliable heating source compared to what most homeowners have, radiant floors also need to generate less on a monthly basis, which in turn leads to a huge reduction in monthly heating and cooling bills. This is great news to me as I have been paying crazy high amounts of money to keep my old furnace up and running for the past couple of years. With this change I am another step closer into being as environmentally conscious as I can be, and if everyone else starts to make a few changes here and there then I think it can only help the planet.
