In my downtown office space, the heating and cooling costs are included in the yearly rent.
This is easily wonderful for us, because let myself and others tell you, the office Heating and Air Conditioning is terrible! I simply cannot figure it out! No matter what I set the temperature control on, it never is comfortable in my office. I am either perspiring because the heating system is blowing, or I am cold because the air conditioner system is blowing. Even when I have the temperature control set to “system off,” there is still some kind of air always blowing out of the air vents. The people I was with and I got a young new intern in the office, and I have told him that if he can figure out the heating and cooling so that my office will be comfortable, he gets a bonus. I am not sure he believed myself and others when I told him that, however I was totally serious. I don’t think if the temperature control is set to some different settings or what, however I am fatigued of going from sizzling to cold all day long. I am hoping that when Summer gets here, the outside temperature will not fluctuate so much, and then perhaps the Heating and Air Conditioning will not be so confused about whether it should be turning on the heating system or the air conditioner system. What I easily wish, though, is that my intern would figure it out for me… Supposedly, he is a whiz at all things technological, so it would be good if he could put all that so-called knowledge to work for our comfort.
