My hubby & I pride ourselves on being able to manage & repair most troubles that come to light in our rental apartment without needing to involve our property owner! Fortunately my hubby is actually handy with household items, & I have a wonderful capacity to rest & read through instruction manuals & the like, but between him & myself, the two of us have been able to repair multiple troubles with our appliances quickly & efficiently.
Both of us were stumped recently, though, with an ongoing issue with our air conditioner, however the fan was consistently turning on & off, the temperature in the apartment was never reaching what the two of us had turned it down on the temperature control, & it seemed appreciate the humidity levels were gradually decreasing to the point where it felt appreciate a sauna inside; I was getting sad actually quickly & wanted to involve our property owner instantly, however my hubby kept trying to problemshoot the condenser & temperature control to see what might be going wrong, and she finally conceded defeat & the two of us called the property owner to have them send out their Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company. Both of us couldn’t have been less impressed with the professionalism of the company, or her overall knowledge. She claimed that the two of us were not maintaining the system, which couldn’t have been further from the truth, and not once did the tech check the lines to see if there were any troubles with blockages, nor did she see if the coils on the condenser were burnt out, however at the end of it, the two of us still did not have a solution to our problem, & I had to file a complaint with the air conditioner company in order to get a more experienced company to come out & assess the problem.
