It has been a rough couple of weeks.
My husband lost his job because of something that was not his fault or really anyone else’s.
His employer had to close his business, and it was a huge shock to everyone. After that, I found out that I have a mass on my shoulder, and the doctors aren’t sure if it is cancerous or not. To top that all off, the heater in our car stopped working. My husband and I share one vehicle, so we have to drive to and from work every single day without any heat. It is wintertime, and the temperatures have been in the twenties lately. I think the high yesterday was like eighteen degrees. I have never been more thankful for heat in my life. When I walk into work, I thank God for heat When I walk into the house after work, I thank God for heat. It is amazing how much we take for granted in this life, and I think losing the heat in our car made me realize that. We are taking the car to a mechanic tomorrow to see if we can get the heat working once again. The vents are still blowing out air, but it just never gets warm. One of our friends said that he was going to come over tonight to see if he can get the heat running again so that we can save money on a mechanic visit, but he is not sure if he will be able to make it now or not. I really hope that he can because I would love to have heat once again without paying an arm and a leg for it.
