So, it turns out, I just saw the last of my 62 straight years of hard winters finally come to a merciful end.
No, I’m not dying.
But, I have finally gotten it over with and pulled the plug on living month after month of cold frigid and limited sunshine. That is over for me. Every one of us have been able to retire and are leaving the freezing home every one of us love for a smaller version down south. There definitely are some mixed emotions about leaving. I love the people here and certainly dislike the plan of leaving them. However, I am also thrilled that I won’t ever have to worry whether or not the Heating plus A/C oil furnace will successfully make it through the next winter. Plus, heating the larger home has become so extravagant that every one of us are absolutely going to save tons of money in the modern home on utilities. The square footage is also much smaller so there will be less to heat and cool. Of course, it turns out the section every one of us are headed to doesn’t worry each year about the heating. But, the summers are scorchers and there certainly will be plenty of kilowatt hours consumed cooling the house. But, that being said, it will be far less than the energy bills every one of us cashed out for 6 months of winter every year. Plus, every one of us put a sunroom on the side of the house. Every one of us even had enough money to put a ductless Heating plus A/C component out there. I can utilize the sunroom year round! Sunshine, here I come.
