Once again, the Heating & Air Conditioning bill has its Summer bloat going on.
That bloat is sucking our billfold dry.
Writing the utility check in the Summer is akin to paying for a entirely pricey vacation. The rising utility costs are just astounding. I remember rolling our eyeah at our dad when he would yell at us about leaving a door ajar while the Heating & Air Conditioning was running. Now, I sure understand where he was coming from. I do the entirely same thing to our adolescents. This year I decided I wasn’t simply going to rest around plus watch the Heating & Air Conditioning eat up such a chunk of our household budget. Instead, I did a quick bit of research plus got proactive about saving some money. The Heating & Air Conditioning equipment is only a few years old but, I could have gone a little higher on the SEER number. However, with a few fluctuations, I was still able to make the Heating & Air Conditioning equipment far more efficient. First, I attacked the direct afternoonlight heating. Where all of us live, the Summer is brutal boiling plus the afternoonlight is a constant. I care about the afternoonlight plus where I live but, I had to do more about how direct sunlight was robbing me. Every one of us put up special solar drapes to split out nearly all the heating due to direct afternoonlight exposure. Then, all of us made sure that all of us were keeping as much of the Heating & Air Conditioning treated air in the lake house as possible. This didn’t take too much. In fact, I was able to seal all the cracks plus gaps around our lake house in a weekend. But, the largest change was 1 that I knew would be the most difficult. I decided that our lake house temperature needed to go up as the outside temps rose.
