The staff didn’t turn on the heater, so the room was about 40° when we walked through the door
I knew that my wife was the one for me as soon as we met. Weave we’re in the same tour group to view a canyon, and both of us chose to take the strenuous route to the top of the falls. When she looked at me and smiled, I was immediately in love. When I chose to propose to my wife, I took her to the very same spot. I thought that a proposal on the canyon at Sunset would be the perfect night that we would never forget. I planned the evening perfectly and even made reservations at a nearby lodge. We had a private Suite with separate living quarters and a bedroom. I think that my wife knew that I was going to propose, because she seemed very excited when we scaled the canyon wall. She said yes as soon as she saw the ring. Things could not have been more perfect and the sunset was filled with orange, yellow, and amber hues. Our evening in the lodge did not go as well as the proposal. The desk clerk could not find our reservation when we arrived, and we had to wait for the room to be ready. The staff didn’t turn on the heater, so the room was about 40° when we walked through the door. It took hours for the heater to warm up the room, and all we did was sit around in our coats, hats, and gloves. By the time the heater warmed up the room, both of us were ready to go to sleep. It’s not exactly the night I had planned, but she did say yes to my proposal.
