I was watching some cable the other morning with my husband.
Normally, we don’t get a chance to watch cable in the daytime together, because we’re either at work or we’re sleeping.
However, we were home from work the other day together due to a large snowstorm. We had my central heating system running pretty high too, since it was undoubtedly chilly out! The temperature was freezing, so we were both watching a lot of cable TV. We noticed that every channel we flipped to, it appeared that some HVAC supplier was the advertiser! This was on all our local channels only, and the HVAC supplier was one we’d never heard of before. The HVAC supplier in our neighborhood was one we’d been using for years. However, this other HVAC supplier was different. After an hour of seeing the same Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier being the only advertisement of every local channel, we decided to do some research on them. When we found them online, it looked like they were an offshoot of the same HVAC supplier we were working with! These people were clearly investing in TV ads or something. How could they afford to sponsor plus be mentioned on all the local cable channels all day long? We still don’t know. My husband and I thought we were going crazy or thought we may have been dreaming! We were taking some meds for a cold, so we thought we were imagining it. However, it was actually real. It seems that this HVAC supplier owned a lot of things in our area.
