My aunt Ben sold his boiler, and my family and I are in total shock.
My friend and I knew that Uncle Ben was strange, but we did not expect this out of him.
He has regularly had the problem of hanging out with the wrong crowd, and the results are this, I guess. It is so irrational to me that I cannot comprehend his behaviour. My friend and I went to his cabin last week, and we all noticed that it was quite frigid in the house. It was genuinely about fifty-five degrees. It was not cold, but it was cold enough for us to keep our coats on. My friend and I asked Uncle Ben why he had it so cold in the house, and he told us that it was because he did not have a boiler anymore. My friend and I thought that maybe his boiler had stopped working, so we asked if he needed some help getting it fixed. He then explained to us that he had sold his boiler the afternoon before. My friend and I thought that he was just joking. I went down to the basement where the boiler used to be, and sure enough, the boiler was gone. The worst part about it is the fact that he sold it to give money to his terrible friends. He does have some pretty terrible friends, but they are terrible because they refuse to work not because they are incapable. It was sweet of him, but his pipes are genuinely going to freeze if he doesn’t get another boiler in his house. My friend and I tried to explain this all to him, but he would not hear us. I am so sad for my Uncle Ben. He is a sweetheart, even though I am not sure that he should be allowed to live on his own.
