When I relocated for work, I wanted to find a current church; Back home, I’d attended the same church for close to 15 years.
It wasn’t easy to find a current place, but I also knew I wanted a community around me… Church is substantial, and I do love worshiping with others.
So, I did my best to know more about the churches in the area. I made a friend at a salon I went to get my hair washed. I had seen the salon had an excellent review online, so I went to check out their services. Well, they did a good job, and the owner is now a good friend of mine. As he was doing my hair, I told his I was looking for a church in the area. She was so excited to find another believer and invited me to his church. I went, and have been going there since that first afternoon, however last summer, my buddy and I had an issue with the a/c in the church. The previous times, there was never any issue since the A/C was working. Summers are hot in this area, so it’s substantial that the church has a/c to keep us comfortable. However, this afternoon was different since the A/C at the church had failed. The pastor didn’t want to cancel the service, so my buddy and I decided to go there despite the a/c being off. He explained there were Heating, Ventilation, and A/C experts working to restore a/c as he was preaching. As strenuous as I tried, it wasn’t easy to focus on the sermon while trying to fan myself. Eventually, I had to walk outside, head to my car, and turn on the A/C because I was hot.
