The HVAC duct in the old home was broken

I’m not a fan of residing in old and run down residing spaces.

I had to rent a room in an old boarding home when I was still in school.

The bathrooms were moldy and the roof had leaks in it. I tried to spend as little time in that space as possible. I constantly enjoyed it when I had friends who would invite me over to their arenas either to hang out or to spend more time. Secretly I wouldn’t even want to go back to my home at all. I would just want to stay out with them as long as I possibly could. But when you live in a rundown home like that, that has pretty common. I had friends when I was growing up who lived in poor homes and they would want to come and spend the night at my home as much as possible. So that has why I understand it; At the same time, I am trying to find better housing in the years since. I lived in a few rentals that were of higher quality, but not the best, and recently I had to buy a home because I couldn’t see myself renting any longer, but unblessedly, there were things about the home I didn’t realize until I already purchased it. I didn’t ask about the windows or the floors or even the roof. One of the things that I actually should have asked about was the HVAC duct and the ventilation system. They told me the air conditioner had been updated a few years prior, but they didn’t tell me there was actual detriment to the HVAC duct. This is a problem for long-term use of an air conditioner because then the HVAC duct leaks all of your cold air. and now I am going to have to get the old HVAC duct fixed and it’s a extreme problem. I have talked to some Heating, Ventilation, and A/C texts who say that the ventilation system has to be updated altogether. They say it would cost too much currency to try to repair it instead of just replacing it right. I don’t actually understand what I can do at this point other than live with it until I have enough currency to get new HVAC duct.
