I had been using regular disposable air filters for quite some time, but after using them, a neighbor recommended that I try using some washable air filters.
My friend and I have been friends since high school, and we were celebrating her recent move into her first home. When I walked into her house for the first time, I noticed she had remarkably good indoor air quality, much better than I did. This completely surprised me because I wasn’t sure what she had that I didn’t that was causing her air quality to be so good plus, so I decided to ask her. She even told me I needed a washable air filter. I was completely surprised to learn about washable filters because I had never heard of filters before. What do washable air filters entail? She detailed how to clean which air filters. What appears to be a washable air filter is an air filter that can be recovered by either vacuuming it out or washing it. She doesn’t like the idea of getting the filters wet, so she just vacuums them out every time. She claims they are a little more expensive than disposable air filters, but because they are reusable, you end up saving more money, and she even gave me a couple to try for free. I’m definitely going to test out these modern air filters and see how they work for me. After a couple of weeks of using washable air filters, I noticed a significant improvement in my home’s air quality, and I couldn’t believe I had been missing out on this for so long.
