I am always happy to get to the lodge when springtime starts. The only thing that keeps me less happy is the light cleaning my spouse as well as I do the first weekend we are there. We usually go about ten to fifteen times a year as soon as the weather gets a little better, which happens to be springtime. Our lodge is a location where my spouse as well as I find peace from our everyday responsibilities. We don’t have kids or anything like that because our jobs take over our lives. We have big responsibilities and we wouldn’t be superb parents to kids because we wouldn’t have time to care for them. I know my spouse easily wants at least one child someday and I’m hoping we can, but that is a conversation for another day. So as we cleaned and dusted the lodge, I realized that it’s been a long time, maybe a few years since I looked at the air filters. I know cleaning them is pressing because we need good air quality for our sleep at night, but I don’t want my spouse’s dust allergies to go crazy and she might get sick. She came with me to take a look at the air filters and they were caked with dust as well as bugs. What am I looking at? It is so gross but it didn’t bother me at all, but my spouse immediately ran outside as well as I can hear her struggling to keep herself from not getting sick. I felt so bad when I checked on her. I saw her all watered up as she tried to gather herself back to a fine state of mind. She said she was going for a walk to clear her head and I told her I’ll take care of the air filters while she is gone.
