My heat pump particularly does have my back in all ways. For sure, we don’t need all that much in the heating department when it comes to the heat pump. Being that I live pretty far south, our winter weather is far more mild than most of the rest of the country. Yet, that doesn’t mean that we don’t need any heating. There are many times each winter when the heat pump delivers the immediate heating comfort we need in our home. That said, it’s particularly not about the heating in our heating and air conditioning paradigm. No, the heat pump has our back when it comes to the cooling part of the heating and air conditioning conversation. Without the a/c that we get from the heat pump, I don’t know we’d be able to make it around here. Even though I’m from this region, I don’t know how I’d get through the summer months without the heat pump. This is why I make sure that the heat pump is getting the a/c tune up this week. We are getting to the point now where the hot and cold temperatures are staying in the mid 72’s during the afternoon. While that’s just moderate enough to not have the a/c on all the time, it won’t be long before the 70’s are then the 90’s. That’s when it’s time to close the doors and windows, keep a good seal on the house, draw the curtains and leave the thermostat on cooling. However, it’s not just the cooling I’m thankful for. The a/c process is also responsible for keeping the humidity in check as well. That’s another benefit of having a heat pump.
