Clean air ducts better for my health

And once that was done, I needed to change to a HEPA filter

I had to make a trip to the doctor late this past Fall. And I did not go willingly. The doctor’s office is a place that I really want to spend as little time as possible visiting. The air conditioning is always too much in order to mitigate bacteria and viral spread. But it’s not just the air conditioning that bothers me. I just am so afraid of thinking I have some small health problem and finding out that I’ve got months to live. Of course, as a grown man, I know that my line of thinking is completely ridiculous. Nonetheless, I avoid going to the doctor like none other. This is another reason I was happy to be stuck inside the central air conditioning of our home during the worst of the pandemic. I did not want Covid and I didn’t want to be in a hospital for sure. Then this Fall, I got a respiratory illness that I just couldn’t shake. At first, it felt like a common head and chest cold. I tested for Covid and was negative. I got to feeling better in a couple of days. But weeks after I was back inside the commercial HVAC of work, I was still coughing and not breathing very well. That’s when my better half said enough was enough and she dragged me to the doctor. And that’s where I learned the importance of having good indoor air quality. The doctor thought this was the problem. So she recommended that I get ductwork cleaning and ductwork resealing done by the HVAC company. And once that was done, I needed to change to a HEPA filter. I did just that and I’ve vastly improved the indoor air quality and my respiratory health.
