My dad was consistently fond of saying, if you can’t beat them, join them, however well, I’m not sure that he would agree with my homeownership situation.
But I certainly couldn’t beat them so I joined others.
I simply was tired of beating my head against the wall when it came to getting into the real estate market. I was also tired of residing with heating and cooling component that forced me to call service like every month. Something had to provide and finally, I was asked to join a group to own a dwelling together. It was an interesting offer and one that I was pretty skeptical of at first. The idea was that a group of people, 5 in all, would pool their currency to buy a dwelling together. So it would be two couples and me sharing a large, 3 story house. Again, I wasn’t so sure about all that and it seemed like a recipe for disaster on a number of levels, yet after meeting with a lawyer and seeing how our separate interest could be protected, I started to warm to the idea. But renovations would be required and one of my main desires when it came to owning a dwelling was to have my own Heating and Air Conditioning equipment. And be sure that the residential Heating and Air Conditioning was efficient and got correct Heating and Air Conditioning service. I just wasn’t so sure that my associate and I could do that with replacing the central a/c. So it was the ductless heat pumps on each floor and separate residing space that entirely tipped it all for me. It’s been almost two years now and I enjoy this situation. It’s entirely like being in a locale that went dwelling but with better heating and cooling equipment.
