I get it.
We’re all doing our best to try and deal with all of this inflation.
And it’s not at all an easy thing to accomplish. For us, money was tight before the financial mess during the pandemic. So just adding inflation to that mess has forced us to be mindful of every penny. Yet when it comes to the quality heating and air in our home, I’m not willing to cut corners. Of course, that doesn’t mean we haven’t done all we could do to improve and maximize the HVAC equipment efficiency. And we also have gotten very real when it comes to thermostat discipline. It’s not so tough for us this time of year because we don’t need much heating. But from June all the way through September, the amount of air conditioning we’ve used has been greatly reduced. So for sure, we do our best to curb spending when it comes to the HVAC equipment. However, when it came to a recent problem with the air conditioning late last summer, I went straight to the HVAC professionals. I had some other options as my neighbor uses a handyman he swears by. But I’m not willing to trust the heating and cooling equipment to somebody that is not a licensed HVAC professional. On top of that, when you call the HVAC company, you’re going to get the right parts and guaranteed work. I applaud anybody who’s doing their best to hold down costs these days. And man, am I ever trying to do the same thing. But there are certain things like the heating and cooling comfort of my family that I’m not willing to cut corners on.
