I am a procrastinator who likes to pretend that I’m just actually thinking things through, and this has been my default when it comes to making decisions for years.
When I was a kid, I would wait forever to decide on the topic of a paper for class, and then, it would be an all out effort inside the central air conditioning to then get it done.
The only difference now is that I couch my indecision in due diligence. Well, it’s all a bunch of hooey because I just don’t want to make a decision. And when it came to replacing the heating and A/C equipment, I was stuck. We are lucky to have a great heating and A/C supplier that has looked after our heating and A/C machine since we’ve lived here. They were the ones to install the residential heating and A/C when we purchased this condo almost 25 years ago. And all along, we’ve gotten plenty of heating and A/C maintenance every year. After the heating maintenance this past fall, the heating and A/C corporation told me it was time to start thinking about a replacement. Of course, that froze me right in my tracks because that meant making a decision. I even brought my partner into the discussion and she promptly figured out what I was doing, and she was not going to be responsible for making the option when it came to our up-to-date residential heating and A/C. So finally, I turned to the heating and A/C professionals for guidance and I got just the help I needed. After one meeting with the heating and A/C corporation, I knew exactly what we wanted when it came to the heating and cooling needs of our home. And I made a decision!
