Every bride should have a bridal fitness class

As a personal trainer, I believe that every bride and her bridal party should be able to have her own bridal fitness class and instructor.

When my best friend Mallory got married, I knew exactly what I was going to give her for a wedding present.

I was giving her the gift of a professional personal trainer for herself and her entire wedding party. I met my husband when we were both in school to become personal trainers and I had my bridal go through fitness classes. I didn’t know I was to be Mallory’s matron of honor until after I offered her the gift. I refused to be matron of honor, but I agreed to be a bridesmaid. I didn’t want any of the other girls to think I had bought the honor. Mallory went to all six of her bridesmaids and told them of my gift. All but two were excited to go to the fitness classes, but her sister, the matron of honor, was hesitant. She had just had a baby and she wasn’t sure what to do with her baby while at the classes. The other girl wasn’t much into exercising and I heard one of the girls snidely comment that she couldn’t stay from her refrigerator that long. With the dresses Mallory had chosen for us, I knew that everyone of us needed some toning and weight loss if we weren’t going to look good at that wedding and have people laughing. I talked to her sister and offered to have someone there to babysit and I talked to the other girl. We came to a mutual agreement that I would work one on one with her right up until the day of the wedding..
