Imagine going away for the Christmas holidays, then almost ruining this amazing time, when our friend said he wanted us to do something fresh and different this Christmas, I was stoked; It had been far too long since I was away from the big city, as well as celebrated Christmas in a different location; Ed’s suggestion came at a time when I was already thinking about what I should do on that day, but since my buddy and I live in the same city, we’d been spending the holidays together for many years; This is why he thought of myself and others when he planned a different holiday than the usual time at home.
My friend’s Grandparents owned a cabin up in the mountains, as well as my buddy and I imagined having a single of those remote, yet picture-perfect holidays; Little did my buddy and I guess that the entire thing would be a disaster.
When my buddy and I arrived at the cabin, it was musty, as well as there was no electricity. This meant my buddy and I had to find another way to have the furnace functioning to heat the cabin. My friend knew his Grandparents had a generator anywhere in the cabin, so my buddy and I began to search for it, however eventually, Ed and I found the generator, but it would not turn on. This was an unmitigated disaster because there was no way my buddy and I could stay in a cabin without any heating. Since Ed and I were in a remote location, going to a hotel with a heater was out of the question. The next best thing was to start tearing wood, as well as adding it to the wood burning stove in the cabin, but at least that way my buddy and I could get the main room nice as well as warm, as well as spend the entire time there. My friend and I had to chop a lot of wood to heat the cabin since my buddy and I were staying there for 3 more afternoons.
