Over the past year or so, we had disappointing dust irritations for some reason, but I don’t believe the pollen count was much worse this year than before, but there was dust all over the place. Everyone in our family was coughing and sneezing and hacking for weeks, and it was super aggravating for all of us. We didn’t really know what to do about it because we were already taking all of the dust sensitivity medication that we possibly could, and it didn’t seem to be helping any of us at all. We were all just annoyed, so I finally decided that we were going to have to do something about it. I went to the allergist to see if he could figure out an answer for our complications, even though he said that he didn’t want to have to give us any more medications or shots for our sniffles and sneezing. Instead, he told us that he wanted us to talk to our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit in our house. Then he said that sporadically if you get your ductwork cleaned out professionally, it can very help with the indoor air pollen levels in your home. He said that if your indoor air pollen levels get better, then that will help you with your dust sensitivity concerns too. I have to admit that it made sense to me when he said it, so I went home and I immediately called up our local heating and cooling supplier to make an appointment for ductwork cleaning. They did a good job and it helped all of us with our dust sensitivity symptoms.
