Found gunk in the ducts

I was talking to my dad & asked him what would cause my heating to not get through the ductwork.

It seemed there were some rooms where there was an excess of heat, but there was absolutely little airflow to the kitchen… My dad told myself and others there could be a clog in the ductwork, & I should call the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company & have an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist check it out, and the next morning I called the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company.

I told them about the lack of airflow into the kitchen & they set myself and others up with an appointment for the following morning, but when the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist got there, every one of us talked about how the ductwork worked to keep the heat & a/c going into the entire house. He said there was definitely a clog, but it could be something more serious. He tapped on the ductwork, but said he found nothing in the main parts of the ductwork system. He finally told myself and others he was going to open the air vent covers in the kitchen. Once he removed the air vent covers, he could use a camera on a stick & he could see exactly what was in the ductwork below the air vent. Two hours later, he told myself and others there was an alligator in the ductwork. I went into panic mode, wondering how an alligator got into the ductwork, let alone into my house. The two of us lived up north. He laughed & reached for a long pair of stretchy tongs. He pulled out a plastic alligator that was sucked up against the ductwork & not allowing the heat to go by.
