I learned how to repair an air conditioner

Today I learned a very useful skill.

I learned how to repair my own air conditioning system! Now I’m not having any trouble with my heating and AC system, but I’ve always loved to learn new skills and I will jump at the opportunity to learn something new. So when I made a friend at college that was offering to teach me how to repair my air conditioning system I decided to listen. This guy knew his stuff because he was training to be a heating and AC specialist. He told me all about how he has heating and cooling workers that went back through his family tree. He told me that his father, mother, and even his grandfather had all worked as heating and AC specialists! So while he was at school to become a heating and cooling worker he also had a lot of things that were taught to him about the heat and AC industry by his dad. The two of us had a lot in common and we quickly became good friends and his knowledge of how to repair a/c systems quickly came in handy when I did have my air conditioner start having issues one day. I’m not entirely sure why my air conditioning system has started acting up but I know that it wasn’t going to cool anymore, and every time I put my hand in front of the air vent it would only blow out hot air instead of cold air. Luckily my friend told me this was very easy to fix in the AC system, it just needed more freon. He came over with the freon and showed me how to fix it for free. He told me step by step so I could do it myself next time, it isn’t as hard as it looks! He did warn me though that with more complicated repairs I should stick to the heat and AC professionals.
