With new animals coming, we needed to prepare the barn adequately. Hay had been stacked up, and other animal and poultry feed had been brought. The only thing remaining was partitioning the new barn and for the a/c workman to handle the a/c install. We had opted for quality HVAC equipment with good SEER ratings. We also wanted to add a whole-home air purification unit to enhance the indoor air quality in the farmhouse. Preparations for the seasons always seemed like a never-ending list of things to do, including a/c repair. We also needed an extra air conditioning filter to re-insulate the old barn because losing heat during winter will result in very high energy bills at the end of the month. I love spring compared to the other seasons; the smell of morning air after a drizzle and reading a book on a rainy afternoon. We also call the air conditioning company to avoid emergencies during winter and summer. The air conditioning system in the new barn would have a washable filter that we could often clean to help so that the animals would be comfortable. Their comfort meant more products from them, resulting in a profit, so investing in cooling products in preparation for summer meant more produce. The other thing that the a/c rep needed to do to improve air quality was duct cleaning. There was a lot to do regarding a/c care, but we were confident that we would do it on time, but with the dual fuel system, that would ease the load.
