We called the HVAC technician, and he told us that there were 3 more major broken parts that he missed while inspecting our HVAC units, and he replaced them and got the HVAC units working again.
After the last few months of dealing with the HVAC technicians that we have been using for the HVAC units at our church, I am not sure that I trust the HVAC technicians anymore. I have only been working at the church for the past year, but our church has been using the same HVAC company for 8 years. The HVAC company has a key to our church and regularly inspects and repairs the air conditioners and furnaces when they need it. However, a few months ago, the HVAC technician told us that we needed to replace the capacitors in every single HVAC unit. That was strange in my mind, because they had just replaced a couple of those on the air conditioners last year, and they are supposed to last 5-7 years. Also, they mentioned that one air conditioner needed a bit of work. We replaced all of the parts ourselves, and the air conditioners still stopped working. We called the HVAC technician, and he told us that there were 3 more major broken parts that he missed while inspecting our HVAC units, and he replaced them and got the HVAC units working again. A few months later, the same air conditioner stopped working, and the HVAC technician fixed it again, but he told us that we would need to replace the capacitor in 2 more HVAC units. That was strange because I just replaced those parts a few months ago. I am suspicious that the HVAC technicians are either lying or being lazy. I honestly hope that it is just laziness.
