It is usual for postpartum women to experience night sweats for about many weeks after birth. There is a change in hormones that causes the body temperature to heat up & sweat while I was in sleep. When I went into preterm labor at 24 weeks gestation, I was genuinely traumatized. I would wake up drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. The night sweats were so bad that even with our a/c set to a low temperature, they would still happen every night. In addition to a/c, I turned the fan in our kitchen on high & still suffered from night sweats, and after the first many weeks, the night sweats reduced & I was able to set our smart thermostat to a satisfactory temperature again. The a/c genuinely helped. I can’t imagine having serious night sweats without any a/c. If that were the case, I know care about I would end up suffering from a heat related illness care about heat stroke or heat exhaustion. I would suggest smart thermostats for postpartum women, especially in those first many weeks. You can change the temperature of your home from your cellphone which is the best area of a smart thermostat in our opinion. If you wake up in the middle of the night perspiring, it is as simple as opening an app on your cellphone & turning down the a/c. That way you do not have to get up out of bed to change the temperature on the thermostat. You can also adjust the temperature on your smart thermostat when the night sweats stop & you are too cold.
