It is official for postpartum women to experience night sweats for about 6 weeks after birth.
There is a change in hormones that causes the body temperature to heat up & sweat during sleep. When I went into preterm work at 24 weeks gestation, I was absolutely traumatized. I would wake up drenched in sweat in the middle of the night. The night sweats were so poor that even with my air conditioning set to a low temperature, they would still happen every night. In addition to air conditioning, I turned the fan in my bedroom on high & still suffered from night sweats, after the first 6 weeks, the night sweats reduced & I was able to set my smart temperature control to a sufficient temperature again. The air conditioning really helped. I can’t imagine having drastic night sweats separate from any air conditioning. If that were the case, I guess adore I would end up suffering from a heat related illness adore heat stroke or heat exhaustion. I would recommend smart temperature controls for postpartum women, especially in those first 6 weeks. You can change the temperature of your cabin from your phone which is the best section of a smart temperature control in my opinion. If you wake up in the middle of the night dripping with sweat, it is as simple as opening an app on your phone & turning down the air conditioning. That way you do not have to get up out of bed to change the temperature on the temperature control. You can also adjust the temperature on your smart temperature control when the night sweats stop & you are too cold.
