I find that there is all kinds of irony to this life.
And the more I know that as truth and lean into acceptance, the better things turn out.
Perhaps that’s some sort of life lesson. But for sure, there is irony that the last thing I do when it comes to the Wintertide preparations for my beach new home has to do with the air conditioner, and of course, around these parts it’s the gas gas furnace that is the main problem this time of the year. Winters here are really taxing and the freezing lasts for weeks and weeks in a row. You’ve got to have enjoyable heating in this area or you won’t survive. I spend a lot of time making sure that our new home is prepared to face sub zero temperatures that occasionally happen during the winter. When it comes to the gas gas furnace, I turn to the Heating plus A/C professionals who take care of maintaining the gas gas furnace. But the rest of the Wintertide preparations on the new home are for myself and others to do. Our summers are not actually tepid however the two of us are often thankful to have central air conditioner. The air conditioner side of the Heating plus A/C is not used all that much however it sure is loved when it is. And having delicate Heating plus A/C components exposed to the weight of ice and snow is not a enjoyable thing. So once the heating maintenance is done and I have tightened up the new home all I can, it’s time to take care of the air conditioner. I have a strenuous plastic shell that I slip over the top of it to keep the snow and ice off those delicate Heating plus A/C components. This also signals that the two of us are done with Wintertide prep and ready for the deep cold.
