When I got apartment from work the other day, it shocked myself and others to see our HVAC specialist kneeling on the ground with his hands over his heart.
My initial reaction was to call an ambulance because I thought he had a heart attack.
I got out of our car, kicked off our heels, and ran over to him. I asked if it was okay? About that time, our four-year-old came running around the apartment with his fake bow and arrow our dad had purchased for him, pretending to shoot myself and others with the arrow. The HVAC tech looked up and told myself and others you can’t just pretend he shot you, you had legitimately fall over and hold something. I swiftly put our hand over our shoulder, and looked at our son while telling him it wasn’t nice to shoot mommy, or anyone else. He laughed, then ran over and kissed our cheek. He held up his tiny plastic bow and arrow and told myself and others it wasn’t real. The HVAC tech sat up and put his elbows on his knees. He told our son he packed quite a wallop with that fake arrow, and it wasn’t nice to shoot HVAC specialists either. I tried apologizing to the specialist, although he said there was no need. He had a four-year-old at apartment who did the same thing to him. He got used to falling down on the ground and pretending it hurt him whenever he heard kapow or bang. I laughed with him when he said that, however our son apologized. He told the HVAC tech he did not want to hurt him, although he shouldn’t try to steal our gold, and ran away.
