I got into this industry quite by accident, however five years later I am partners with a successful corporation, and co-owner of the dealer.
I started from humble beginning, running a carpet cleaning company with my wife.
The two of us were the only several employees, and did everything ourselves… When she and I got divorced I got the beach house and she got the business, so I absolutely much needed a job (or else I would lose the house, too). I started checking with all the local corporations and offices, and that is where I met Nacho! Nacho owned a absolutely small HVAC dealer, with only multiple employees, and what she needed was an executive assistant to run the front office. Although I knew nothing about HVAC work, I knew how to organize and manage a small business, so I took the job. Now that I was there to answer the cellphones and handle the paperwork, Nacho was completely free to focus on the heating and cooling repairs. She was able to take on more jobs, and get them done more hastily, because I was ably handling every other aspect of the HVAC dealer. Within multiple months the profits have more than doubled, and we are hastily becoming known as one of the best HVAC companies in town. I have started to learn more about my HVAC techs, and use that to help myself and others route the right jobs to the right people. The two of us are more than a little HVAC supplier to me, we are a family, and I am absolutely lucky to have found this job!
