I was looking at prototype homes that were available in a single of the local HOA’s. Many people look at prototype homes as being a used home since so multiple people have gone through it. As a realtor, I have gone into multiple prototypes when new communities are being built. Although they are well used, they have not been used as homes. I was able to purchase a single of these homes for a absolutely great price. Unfortunately, although it was a new unlived-in house, it had an aged Heating and Air Conditioning system. Had the contractor not told me, I would have assumed the Heating and Air Conditioning program was the same age as the house, which was only two years. I was told that sometimes they would install a used Heating and Air Conditioning program since there were only a few rooms that were particularly occupied all the time. Even before I could transport into the house, I was going to need to have both a new oil furnace plus a/c equipment installed. The contractor called someone she knew who was an Heating and Air Conditioning contractor. Once the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor arrived, it didn’t take long for him to look at the apartment plus tell me what I needed to make the apartment comfortable in every section of the house. Within two weeks I was moving into our home, plus I was blissful. The next time I showed a single of our purchasers a apartment in a new community, I was going to have them called a Heating and Air Conditioning contractor before assuming the Heating and Air Conditioning program was brand new. I’m sure it was just the prototype with less than perfect Heating and Air Conditioning, although I couldn’t be sure.
