My headaches went away after the ductwork cleaning

It was a little while ago when I started waking up with really bad headaches.

Regardless of how I was feeling, I had to make it into work everyday.

I had a regular routine where I would get up, have a quick protein shake and maybe a bagel, and then I would set the thermostat to minimal temperature control settings. I always wanted to save on my energy bills, so I had to do this. I would go to work and usually I would start feeling better halfway through my work shift. I talked to some friends about my headaches and how they would usually go away when I was working for a little while. One of my friends said it sounded like there might be an issue with the air quality in my home. He said this because there had to be a reason for my headaches going away when I left the house. I never really thought about the headaches occurring because of my environment. I thought it might have something to do with stress or not eating right. My friend recommended an air quality specialist and I called him up. Soon I had the guy at my house checking everything out with my HVAC system. He said my ductwork was really dirty and he said there was mold inside of it. He suspected that the mold and all the other contaminants could be the reason for my bad headaches. So I had him take care of the ductwork cleaning and before I knew it, I was feeling fine all the time. I do believe it was the mold that was making me feel so sick. To avoid that issue in the future, I’m going to have my ductwork cleaned once per year.
