I have lived out here in a fairly little town for about a year and I am still getting adjusted to everything in this place.
- After so many years of residing in the city, this site was truly a breath of fresh air… Over time, there got to be too much fresh air! I came to realize that I had to leave behind my outdated mindset and chill out to a certain level.
These are farmers and country people out here, and there is no hustle and bustle! People don’t choose to walk fast, they amble, and every driver is driving incredibly slow like they are not in a rush. Although I was never hurting for work in the city, out here my Heating and A/C device skills are not as in demand with the people. I spend a lot of my time farming, trying to grow some food, and only close to 20 hours a week doing Heating and A/C service appointments. Out here only some people have a central Heating and A/C device, but those folks are not very common. Even when they do have a quality A/C device, they may not notice for weeks if it isn’t working because it hardly gets sizzling enough to run the AC device in this area. The Winter weather should be a busier time for me, because heating devices are definitely necessary for the long, frosty season. There are many heating devices in use here, from natural gas and coal to electric, and even some locations with wood burning heating devices and fireplaces. I am seriously hoping to have enough heating work this fall and Winter time to sustain me through the remainder of the long, temperate year. A/C season will be really bad for business I know.
