The last past year has been absolutely filled with variations for very clear reasons.
But fortunately, my family has been easily safe plus followed the health protocols in order to stay safe.
And I couldn’t be more glad for that outcome as the vaccinations aren’t especially far away. That being said, it has been taxing on us financially plus both of us easily had to cut back on our spending this past year. Since both of us are inside the Heating plus A/C security of our dwelling, that has made the cuts somewhat easier. There aren’t as many entertainment expenses plus both of us didn’t take a getaway this year either. So both of us have been able to nearly offset the loss of income we have incurred. A truly crucial target last hot season was saving on the Heating plus A/C appliance cooling costs. In this region, that is the biggest of our Heating plus A/C expenditures as we commonly have mild winters with minimal heating costs. But the hot season can crush a budget if you aren’t completely proactive. This past summer, both of us got even more proactive than we typically do. I started out by making sure that the Heating plus A/C treated air remained inside the dwelling. I finally upgraded worn out weather stripping around all the doors plus sliders. That was an important win because I guess a lot of Heating plus A/C air was leaking out from there. Then both of us made sure that both of us were pulling the drapes during the peak heating hours in order to avoid direct sunshine heating. But truly, it was the temperature control unit discipline that helped us get through. The two of us just made sure the temperature control unit was never set to any more than 15 degrees cooler than the outside temps happened to be. And both of us ended up saving approximately 20 percent more compared to the Summer prior.
