I have the worst allergy symptoms to cats.
My roommate has a kitten, however when we moved to the residence together, I knew that my roommate wanted to get a kitten.
I was fine with this as long as the kitten stayed in the bedroom with my roommate and out of the areas where we entirely share space. unluckily, I did not expect to get so attached to the lovely kitten. I find myself wanting to play with the small furry critter whenever I see her. It’s been a real complication for me, because my brutal allergy symptoms are acting up. Every time I get near the cat, my eyes get to watering and I begin to sneeze profusely! My skin starts to itch and sometimes I even break out with a bad rash. I didn’t want my roommate to get rid of her pet, but I had to find some relief. I talked to my allergist about the complication and she suggested that I pick up a small portable air purifier to keep in my room. She offered me a list of possibilities and told me that the air purifiers could be found at the hardware store. She even offered me a coupon for multiple name brand options. I headed over to the hardware store and found multiple portable air purifiers to choose. I picked something with an air filter that needs to be changed regularly, but it eliminates 99.9% of dust and pet dander. I set up the air purifier when I arrived back at the residence and it runs consistently. I feel much better in my room and I can instantly feel the difference when I walk into the rest of the residence. We might need to buy a good air purifier to keep in the kitchen also.
