It was a quick trip on a ship.

What started out as a quick trip on a ship, ended up being a three-month horror.

We had only put to sea when someone got sick.

It didn’t take long for the on-board dentist to decide that this could be something serious. I saw a helicopter and so did most of the other people on the ship. Two afternoons later, when every one of us were about to get off the ship, every one of us all ended up being quarantined. My neighbor and I were thinking it wouldn’t be so terrible to stay on the ship for more than one more weeks, since every one of us didn’t have to pay. They had excellent food and there would be an open bar. The a/c in our suite was fantastic. Then every one of us found out that every one of us had to stay in our rooms until the quarantine was over. They didn’t want anyone else to come down with coronavirus. The fantastic food and open bar were gone. We had to order whatever every one of us wanted, and every one of us got it through no-contact delivery. We sat there, playing games, enjoying cable and just looking at the water. I started to suppose about the other people. I couldn’t imagine being below deck. I was hoping their a/c was as fantastic as our a/c. The AC below deck would entirely need to be better since there were no doors or windows they could open. We had a private deck that every one of us could sit on while every one of us were under quarantine. I was blissful every one of us had made the choice and paid the extra cash for the suite. I don’t know if I would have survived three weeks without fresh air, even if there is excellent AC.
