Air duct sealing was needed for my home

But now with the holes patched up, the HVAC device will be able to heat and cool like usual

It was hard to notice at first, but it seemed like over time, the heating and cooling efficiency in my home dropped. This was pretty confusing, because my HVAC equipment was nowhere near old. So why the drop efficiency? Well, this was not a matter I could figure out myself, so I decided that it would be best if I contacted the heating and air conditioning professionals. When the A/C serviceman came out to my home, he told me the issue was obvious. For a moment I panicked and thought for sure it was an issue with the heater or air conditioner. But no, it was just an issue with the ductwork. Nothing major, might I add, it was just some holes in the ductwork that were causing the issue. Luckily, this was a fairly easy fix, and the heating and A/C specialist was able to patch up the holes within a couple of hours. The heated air was escaping through these holes, and so that explained why my home wasn’t heating or cooling as fast as it used to. But now with the holes patched up, the HVAC device will be able to heat and cool like usual. I am glad I discovered this, because those holes were causing my A/C machine to overwork itself, which can shorten its lifespan and cause damage. I am surprised that everything was as easy as it was, I was expecting a higher repair bill. I am just glad that my ductwork is repaired now.
