Even though I grew up plus moved out into a place of my own, I typically visited the orphanage where I grew up consistently… For me it was the closest thing to an actual home I had ever known, even though the young faces kept changing, most of the professors plus clergy were still the same.
I regularly enjoyed going by plus talking with them.
It was great to volunteer too. Seriously now, nothing makes me feel better than entirely working with those kids, the kind I used to be like, the kind that need all the friends they can get. It turns out that friendship goes both ways, plus the clergy was able to get me a contract to do the HVAC appliance job at the orphanage. I appreciate having this opportunity, because I can use it as a teaching tool plus show all the kids some things about HVAC systems. The fact that this church has unquestionably ancient heating equipment in place, maybe older than I am, also allowed me to do some enjoyable work where enjoyable works happened to be needed. These kids had so little in life, the least I could do was make sure they had excellent heating in the Winter time plus cooling in the summer… Since I didn’t mind being at the orphanage, I found every excuse imaginable to go there, even if there was no HVAC job to be taken care of. That’s where I got the whole idea to teach a basic skills for HVAC class to the older kids there, to give them some real-world skills they could maybe use to get a job in the future.
