Carrying a Window Air Conditioner Up and Down the Stairs is Comical At Best

I regret that I did not get central A/C.

If I wouldn’t have allowed our buddy to try to talk me out of central heating and cooling and that window A/Cs were better because you only had to cool the house one room at a time, after that I would have a finally working central A/C throughout the whole house every day.

Window A/Cs are perfect for the family that cannot afford central heating and cooling, but that was not me. I had the money to purchase a central A/C, but I was stupid and listened to my buddy who told myself and others that it would be much more clever to purchase window A/Cs & to only cool the house 1 room at a time. However, I never gave a second thought to the fact that window A/Cs cost a lot more money than central A/Cs during the operation of said heating and cooling. Furthermore, I never took into account the fact that window A/Cs are supposed to be taken down and replaced with the seasons. I barely have adequate storage in our attic for the numerous portable A/Cs, & it isn’t simple trying to lug a huge window A/C up a flight of absolutely flimsy stairs. I am regularly afraid that I am going to fall under the burden & have the A/C either smash to pieces on the ground or fall on leg. Trying to take the A/Cs back down in the Springtime is like a three stooges show. It is nearly impossible to cautiously carry that much weight while making my way down the steps. Then, I am forced to lift the A/C into the window & make sure it sits in there correctly so that it won’t fall. I wouldn’t have to be dealing with all this nonsense all the time this if I had not listened to my buddy’s bad advice about window air conditioning.
